Welcome to African American Men’s Foundation

Our goal is to have a safe haven for African America Men to blossom and become whatever they want to be in life. Without feeling insecure or inadequate. Each participant will have a group mentor to report to, to hold that person responsible to the goals they have set for themselves, and show them how to respond, react, and achieve the impossible in a professional way.

African America Men’s Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization. The words African American Men’s Foundation are derived from the History of African American Men’s Foundation, black men who served our country proudly. Black men like my Grandpa (Mack Anderson) who served in WWII. Black men derived from a legacy of rich culture and multi-culture. The overview is to show off our young men and introduce them to the African American Men’s history.

Our Mission

The mission of the African American Men’s Foundation is for black men between the ages of 12-28 years old. To come together to create wealth and understand how powerful knowledge, wisdom, family, support and faith. We have local businesses as mentors, to provide guidance by being examples of successful African-American Men.

Moving forward: The Future of AAMF

AAMF has learned that young people appreciate the truth, and thrive when given opportunities to feel safe, creative and accepted. It’s time to build on our success and find a permanent home for events, so that instead of supporting young people just one day a week we can be working with them every day. We are working towards opening a foundation for the specific needs of the male African American youth. Where we can teach our black men how to be confident and empower themselves to make a change in their community without judgement.

Studies show that youth identified drug and alcohol issues and lack of things for young people to do as the top two things they would change in their community. Some studies showed that youth identified having a safe supportive environment and just having a place to hang out as the most important things for a teen center to offer.
