About The Founder

of

African American Men’s Foundation

Our founder is a visionary leader who knows how to connect with people of all levels of life, ages, and ethnicities. She has a gentle but firm spirit which she dedicates to create a positive community transformation. It’s Jacquelyn’s dream to create a community where all young people can grow up healthy, happy and safe.

Inspiration comes from God!

Our founder believes just that!  Growing up in Flint, Michigan she spent her whole life caring for others. Jacquelyn has a Degree in Business Administration from Davenport University, Grand Rapids Michigan. She has a Degree in Design and Media Production from Southern Crescent Technical College, Griffin, Georgia. She has over 20 plus years of corporate experience as an executive assistant to partners, presidents, directors, and managers. Jacquelyn has worked for major companies including American Bankers Association, KPMG, Delta Airlines, 100 Black Men, Kaiser Permanente, Wachovia, etc. She has a license in Real Estate in Georgia. She has a Certification in Home Health Care. She took care of the elderly while taking care of her family and going to school.

Jacquelyn has always dreamed of a foundation where young black men can go for emotional support and direction while navigating through life’s challenges and triumphs. AAMF teaches young men from ages 12 to 28 how to become the pillars of their community, and teaches the newer generation the importance of being aware and knowledgeable of the African American Man’s legacy, history, and his origin.

Jacquelyn believes we all have the power within ourselves to do anything we can imagine, if we don’t give up on supporting each other. Jackie has helped so many people. Our founder enjoys putting a smile on someone’s face. She is a free spirit, with a pure heart. Her mother was a  nurse, and her father worked for General Motors 36 years in Flint, Michigan before retiring.

Hard work was instilled in Jacquelyn since childhood, as an only daughter she had many duties:

“Working is part of living and work is a blessing.”, the men in my family would say,  feeling proud to provide for their family, the feeling of pride that you gave your kids a good Christmas,  putting food on the table, so kids can be kids, the feeling of joy when dad comes home, you are covered, you are provided for, you are safe, because the Man of the house is home. Our protector, and hero, that’s how I grew up when men were honorable, healthy, able and willing to work hard, to build a beautiful family, business, foundation, etc.

Jacquelyn grew up with mostly males, she has 3 boys of her own, her heart wants to see the black man restored, prosperous, and honored, but she knows in order to make a change we need community involvement and commitment to our youth that want to improve themselves. For those who want to improve themselves, AAMF works hard to help them stay on a schedule, stay focused on their goals while providing them the tools and direction to accomplish those goals.

The African American Men’s Foundation will be a starting point of greatness for many men to come and start the process of rejuvenation, new beginnings, and personal business advice. Providing a step-up with support and mentors to pave the way.

The African American Men’s Foundation supports and pays tribute to the regular black men of our society, men who stay and support their families. Men who conquer their fears and failures, and create successes. Win or fail!  You will learn resilience.

Word from the Founder

“If you don’t play, you don’t win, players play hard, players hustle discreetly, players teach forcibly, players grind for life, players have poker faces.”

“Don’t hate the player… Learn the Rules and play the game to WIN!!”
